The Jim Harbaugh era at Michigan has been fairly successful, despite the fact that the Wolverines haven't won a Big Ten title or played for a national championship. But fans are getting restless, and recently, tensions seem to be boiling over.

This week, a Bleacher Report story about Harbaugh's eating habits, which included him saying he doesn't eat chicken because it's a "nervous bird" went viral. The quote came from former quarterback Wilton Speight.

In response, many Michigan fans are starting to accuse former players of "turning their backs" on the program. Former quarterback John O'Korn responded to one on Twitter and caused a stir on Monday night.

In short, O'Korn made it seem like it's the fans who former players are upset with most - not Harbaugh. At least, that's how it reads. He says that it isn't the school, the program or Harbaugh. He says his mentions in response - which are predictably negative - prove his point.

Michigan will have a new quarterback this year in Shea Patterson, who transferred in from Ole Miss. Some believe that as a result, Michigan will be in decent position to finally break through and at least win the Big Ten East.

Still, Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan State are all expected to be strong as well. Harbaugh is going to need to find a way to beat at least two of the three of them to have a shot at winning the division.

If he doesn't, there will be even more unrest heading into next season.
