Johnny Manziel would love a shot with the New England Patriots. TMZ Sports caught up with the former NFL quarterback this week.

Johnny Manziel hasn't played in the NFL since 2015, but the former Cleveland Brown is attempting to make a comeback. This week, he told TMZ that he'd love a shot with the New England Patriots.

Manziel was asked about Von Miller and Mike Evans in addition to himself. Here's what he had to say:

TMZ: The Browns made a couple of big trades today, do you think that this makes them legit right now?

Manziel: We'll see, only time will tell.

TMZ: Do you like the moves?

Manziel: For them sure, sure. Anything is better than what they were.

TMZ: Did you see what Von Miller and Nate Burleson said about you?

Manziel: I did not.

TMZ: Von Miller says you guys text once a week and he gets goosebumps thinking about your NFL comeback.

Manziel: All the time. I mean we talk a couple times a week, so.

TMZ: What do you talk about?

Manziel: A&M stuff, going back to A&M, taking care of the people there. His journey and what's going on with him. I mean they obviously had a little bit of a down season for what they're thinking about. But listen, he's the best pass rusher in the game. He can do whatever he wants. I'm just hoping that he can get that squad as a whole back together.

TMZ: Nate Burleson says you should be the long-term replacement for Brady. Like maybe back Brady up for a couple of years?

Manziel: I'll go to New England in a heartbeat. In a heartbeat.

TMZ: What'd you think of Mike Evans' contract?

Manziel: He's the best. He got paid.

Manziel, who won the Heisman Trophy at Texas A&M in 2012, was drafted 22nd overall by the Browns back in the 2014 NFL Draft. Due to inconsistent play and off-the-field shenanigans, he was out of the league at the end of the 2015 season.

Manziel is set to play in the Spring League this year, so perhaps NFL teams will get a chance to look at how he's been progressing. Can you imagine him in New England?
