Jon Gruden Reveals His Favorite QB In The NFL Draft

Here's who the quarterback guru would draft.

Jon Gruden has spent a lot of time with the top quarterbacks in this year's NFL Draft class. The ESPN analyst puts these quarterbacks through a day of film study, on-field work and roller-coaster conversation during his special "Gruden's QB Camp" show.

On SportsCenter Thursday night, Gruden revealed the quarterback he likes the best.

It's a surprising answer.

“I’d take (Patrick) Mahomes," Gruden said, per 247Sports. "I’d have a lot of fun with him.”

The Texas Tech quarterback might possess the most-naturally gifted arm in the class.

Mahomes, the son of a former MLB player, completed 65.7 percent of his passes for 5,052 yards and 41 touchdowns last season, while throwing just 10 interceptions.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound quarterback is seen as a potential first-round pick, but there are many who like UNC's Mitchell Trubisky, Notre Dame's DeShone Kizer and Clemson's Deshaun Watson.

Those three quarterbacks, along with Tennessee's Joshua Dobbs, Miami's Brad Kaaya and Pittsburgh's Nathan Peterman, were featured on Gruden's show this year.

The NFL Draft starts on Thursday, April 27 in Philadelphia.
