Nebraska wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp was released from the hospital shortly after Nebraska's game against Illinois.
Jordan Westerkamp was hospitalized after suffering an injury in the third quarter of No. 15 Nebraska's win over Illinois.
Westerkamp clutched at his ribs and lower back area after catching a 6-yard pass from quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. The senior wide receiver could be seen waving trainers onto the field before going to the hospital.
Westerkamp was released from the hospital last night, but the cause of the hospital visit and his status remain in question.

The Cornhuskers fought off a slow start against Illinois before gaining control midway through the third quarter en route to a 31-16 win.
Nebraska will have an extra week to get healthy before traveling to Indiana to take on the Hoosiers on October 15.
