Four-star wide receiver Jordan Whittington, a class of 2019 star out of Cuero, Texas, revealed his top eight schools today.
Back in March, Whittington revealed a top 14 list. He nearly cut the schools in half, and is left with the following eight in his top group right now: Florida, Florida State, LSU, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Texas, Texas A&M, and UCLA.
Arizona, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, and TCU missed the cut with this latest announcement. He also has offers from Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, Oklahoma State, and numerous other big programs.
247Sports doesn't have enough data to put together composite rankings for Whittington, but he is a four-star in the site's internal rankings. The site has him at No. 15 among wide receivers and and No. 60 overall. 247 has Whittington at No. 6 in Texas, which is impressive, considering the talent in that state.
The crystal ball has one vote—from Texas A&M insider Taylor Hamm—for Whittington to end up an Aggie. We might need a bit more data before putting that one in ink, but take it for what it is. We have well over a year before National Signing Day 2019, so plenty can happen between now and then.
