Last Friday, Catawissa (Pa.) Southern Columbia five-star wide receiver Julian Fleming revealed he will be announcing his commitment on May 31. He also unveiled his top five schools.
Fleming said he was down to Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, and Penn State. However, a new report from Lettermen Row indicates one of those schools has been eliminated.
According to Lettermen Row’s Jeremy Birmingham, Fleming has canceled an upcoming official visit to Georgia and is no longer considering the Bulldogs.
“Sources close to Fleming’s recruitment have indicated to Lettermen Row that he’ll make his final decision from the group of Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Penn State,” Birmingham wrote.
Fleming is the No. 1 wide receiver and the No. 6 overall recruit in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
Penn State was thought to be the early favorite for Fleming but Ohio State has been trending for him recently. His 247Sports Crystal Ball favors the Buckeyes.
Fleming has been likened to former Ohio State star Michael Thomas, according to 247Sports’ player comparison.
