A 13-year-old quarterback received a scholarship offer from a Division 1 program.
Kaden Martin, a standout seventh-grade athlete, received a scholarship offer from Lane Kiffin and FAU. It's his first scholarship offer.
Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports first reported the news.
Kaden is the son of Tee Martin, a former star quarterback at Tennessee and a multi-year NFL player, who's currently the offensive coordinator at USC.
The seventh-grade quarterback is one of the youngest players in history to receive a scholarship offer. He's not just a football player, either. He's a 5-11, 175-pound athlete that also excels as a pitcher. Feldman reports that his fastball has been clocked in the 80s.
Martin probably isn't going to end up playing for Kiffin and FAU (odds are, Kiffin will be long gone by the time he's ready for college, anyway) but we will probably see him playing some sport on a major stage.
