Auburn running back Kamryn Pettway suffered what looks to be a serious injury Saturday afternoon.
Auburn knocked off Vanderbilt on Saturday afternoon, but in the process, the Tigers may have seen their main offensive workhorse suffer an injury. Sophomore running back Kamryn Pettway, who rushed for an incredible 173 yards on 25 carries, came up lame on a 60-yard run that would easily have gone for a touchdown had he not suffered an injury. Pettway appeared to hurt his left leg.
Here's video of the injury:
We'll keep you updated on Pettway's status. The trainers were working on his left leg on the sideline, but it's clear he wasn't going to be able to return.
Update: Pettway "pulled something" - according to head coach Gus Malzahn.
