The Kansas coaching search is reportedly coming to an end. Just a few weeks after announcing head coach David Beaty won't be back for another year, athletic director Jeff Long interviewed a few candidates an has apparently found the coach for him.

Long spoke with former LSU head coach Les Miles and Los Angeles Rams assistant coach Jedd Fisch about the coaching vacancy.

According to a report from Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated, the Jayhawks have settled on Les Miles as the team's new head coach.

Here's the news from Dellenger:

Kansas is finalizing a deal to make Les Miles the new leader of the Jayhawks football program, multiple sources told Sports Illustrated. An announcement could come as soon as this weekend.

Miles, 65, hasn't been on a college football sideline since he was fired by LSU in 2016. However it looks like that's about to change.

Miles compiled a 114-34 record during his time with the Tigers and brings significant coaching experience to Lawrence.

Stay tuned for the official decision.
