The University of Kansas' football program has its next head coach.

Sports Illustrated's Ross Dellenger is reporting that the Jayhawks have officially hired former LSU head coach Les Miles.

"It’s done: Les Miles will be announced today as the new Kansas football coach, sources tell Sports Illustrated. He’s en route to Lawrence now. The Hat’s back."

Miles' plane has reportedly already landed.

This is a big hire for Kansas, which has long been searching for some stability within its football program. If nothing else, Miles should bring at least that.

Stay tuned.
