While the Texas Longhorns are currently riding a positive wave of momentum on the gridiron, the team received unfortunate news heading into this weekend.

The Longhorns will certainly be the favorites against Kansas State tomorrow. However, their coaching staff will be without a key component of their offense.

It turns out that offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Tim Beck is in the hospital getting treatment for an infection. Due to his current illness, he won't make the trip for this weekend's showdown against the Wildcats.

Obviously, it's not going to be easy for Texas to fill the void, but their coaching staff sounds ready for the challenge.

Head coach Todd Herman will have his staff call plays collectively, as their offense has the necessary tools to win on the road. Over the last two weeks, the Longhorns have put together an average of 34.0 points per game.

Although Beck will miss tomorrow's game in Manhattan, hopefully Texas' offensive coordinator can return next week against Oklahoma.
