Kirk Herbstreit: Clemson Is 'Arm-In-Arm' With Alabama As A Program

Kirk Herbstreit talks during college game day.

The Tigers are now on-par with the Crimson Tide.

Dabo Swinney led Clemson to two consecutive national title games, winning one. Of course, he had help from one of the best college quarterbacks ever in Deshaun Watson.

However, even without Watson, Dabo has the Tigers looking like a threat to make the College Football Playoff yet again.

That success has people taking notice. Among them is Kirk Herbstreit, who as a guest on Mike & Mike this morning said Clemson is now "arm-in-arm" with Alabama.

That's hefty praise, especially considering the Tide has won four national titles in eight years. Clemson took down Alabama in last year's title game, and Kelly Bryant has the Tigers primed for a run at consecutive titles.
