Kirk Herbstreit Has Message For Every College Football Fan Before Week 1

We got our first taste of 2019 college football last weekend, but the main course starts this week. Ahead of the Thursday night games that begin Week 1 of the season, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit had a message for fans everywhere.

Taking to Twitter, Herbstreit wished everyone a "Happy College Football Season." He called tonight the true start of the season and hopes that fans enjoy the next few days of football.

Happy CFB season to EVERYONE across the country! Know we had a couple gms last week but today is really the start of the season w/ some intriguing games TONIGHT & ALLLL the way till Labor Day night w/ ND/Louisville! Before we all start yelling at each other-have a great year!

Tonight's college football action features defending national champion Clemson against Georgia Tech. Texas A&M, UCF, and Utah will also be in action.

Wisconsin and Michigan State will continue the action on Friday.

Then on Saturday we get a complete lineup of games. There's a ranked matchup between Auburn and Oregon, as well as Alabama going up against Duke.

Sunday will feature Oklahoma hosting Houston.

The final game of the Labor Day Weekend will be a Monday night matchup between Notre Dame and Louisville.

Herbstreit's got plenty of reason to be excited for the next few days.
