On Thursday night, the official first week of college football kicked off.

Last weekend, Florida escaped an upset bit from Miami en route to its first win of the season. The Gators and Hurricanes provided a nice appetizer for the rest of the action to come this week.

Before the Week 1 slate of games officially kicked off, ESPN's College GameDay crew went through their predictions for tonight's games.

Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard predicted a significant upset.

Both college football analyst picked BYU to knock off No. 14 Utah. Lee Corso has plenty of confidence in the Utes - he picked them to make the College Football Playoff.

Here are the full predictions from the crew.

It's a bold pick from both Desmond and Kirk. Utah is expected to keep pace with USC in the Pac-12 South and potentially represent the division in the Pac-12 title game.

The Utes received plenty of hype heading in the 2019 campaign after a strong 2018 season.

Utah enters tonight's game against BYU as a 6.5-point favorite. The Utes and Cougars are set to kicks off from Provo, Utah in just a few minutes.

Kickoff is officially set for 10:15 p.m. ET.

The game can be found on ESPN.
