The 2018 college football season is one weekend away. That's right, it's almost time to take to our couches and watch our teams take the field once again.

Earlier this week, College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit gave out his annual Herbie Awards. During the awards ceremony, he named the players that will stand out this season, his eventual champion, and more.

Herbie also named the five games he's most looking forward to. There aren't too many surprises.

Ohio State at Penn State
Auburn vs. Washington
Florida at Mississippi State
UCLA at Oregon
Michigan at Michigan State

Ohio State and Penn State could both be undefeated when the two teams meet in Happy Valley. Meanwhile, Auburn and Washington open the season against each other in a huge non-conference battle.

Florida at Mississippi State pits a coach against his former team as the Gators and Dan Mullen take on the Bulldogs. Another head coach taking on his former team - Chip Kelly travels to Oregon in early November.

Finally, an in-state rivalry with serious College Football Playoff implications as Michigan makes the trek to East Lansing to take on the Spartans.

Not a bad list from Herbie. You can see all of his awards here.
