Alabama is the undisputed No. 1 team in college football and Kirk Herbstreit has no problems with that.
ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit believes it's Alabama and then everyone else when it comes to the current state of the 2016 college football season. The Crimson Tide are 7-0, ranked No. 1 in the country and coming off of a dominant win against Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn.
The closest team to Alabama might be Ohio State, but Herbstreit does believe - right now - that there is a gap between the two teams.
Ohio State has "a few concerns," per Herbstreit.
Herbstreit, though, does think that Ohio State will be "fine" if the vertical passing game improves and the Buckeyes' young players keep making strides.
And, when it comes to a potential Alabama-Ohio State national championship game, Herbstreit says there is a "very good chance of that."
