A Video Of Kirk Herbstreit's Son, A College Football Recruit, Is Going Viral

Most college football fans likely know Kirk Herbstreit as just the ESPN analyst who's on College GameDay. They, probably, think he's biased against their favorite team. And some surely think they know more about the sport than he does.

Herbstreit, though, comes from quite the football background. He played quarterback at Ohio State and his father, Jim Herbstreit, was a co-captain for the Buckeyes back in the 1960s.

Good football genes run in the Herbstreit family.

So, it shouldn't be surprising that Jake Herbstreit, the son of the ESPN college football analyst, is a rising recruit.

247Sports' Barton Simmons recently watched Jake work out. He was impressed.

"Watched Jake Herbstreit (son of Kirk Herbstreit) workout this weekend. 2019 CB that added 20 pounds this offseason. Good player that is starting to get some college traction. Started at CB last year on Nashville power MBA," he tweeted.

A veteran NFL defensive back, Bernard Pollard, was impressed, too. "For y’all who have NEVER played db (or football), he played every drill the correct way with the correct speed. Stiff? Y’all smoking something! That’s the way he’s suppose to move. You rarely see a white DB moving and stepping like that. Keep working bro!" he tweeted.

It'll be interesting to see where Jake ends up.
