Kirk Herbstreit Still Thinks Michigan Is A Year Away
Michigan has looked pretty great so far this season.
Kirk Herbstreit, ESPN's top college football analyst, still thinks Michigan is a "year away" from truly contending for a national championship.
The Wolverines are 4-0, coming off a 49-10 win against Penn State, and ranked No. 4 in the country.
Herbstreit says 2017, not this season, will be the year Jim Harbaugh's squad fully reaches its potential.
Michigan currently has 9/1 odds to win the national title this season, per Bovada. Only four teams - Alabama, Ohio State, Louisville, Clemson - have better odds.
The Wolverines are set to play No. 8 Wisconsin Saturday in Ann Arbor, Mich. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. E.T. on ABC.
