The ESPN college football analyst thinks there are eight teams left in the race.
The latest College Football Playoff rankings came out on Tuesday night. We've got one more week in the regular season and then conference championship weekend before the final four is decided.
Who still has a chance to make it?
According to ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit, there are still eight teams in the race.
Those eight teams:
- Ohio State
That's the top seven of the latest College Football Playoff rankings and No. 9 Ohio State. Herbstreit left No. 8 Notre Dame out, considering the Fighting Irish don't have a conference championship to win.
The Buckeyes remain alive, though, considering they can still win the Big Ten and potentially jump a number of teams ahead of them.
