Kirk Herbstreit Thinks Alabama, Clemson Are "Absolutely" Ahead Of Everyone Else

These two teams are ahead of everyone else, for the moment, at least.

Right now, it's two teams and then everyone else when it comes to the 2017 college football season.

That's what Kirk Herbstreit thinks, anyway.

The ESPN college football analyst agreed with Scott Van Pelt on SportsCenter, who said it looks like we're headed for Alabama-Clemson part three. That's what it looks like right now, at least.

"Absolutely," Herbstreit said. "As we sit here right now, I think there's Alabama and there's Clemson."

There are some other teams providing intrigue, though.

"Georgia, man, their defense, they look really good," Herbstreit said. "Penn State with Saquon Barkley and Trace McSorley, their defense is playing pretty good football. TCU, with what they did to Oklahoma State."
