The Crimson Tide, the preseason No. 1 team in the country, will be big favorites in this one. The Cardinals lost Lamar Jackson and Nick Saban's teams typically dominate these Week 1 non-conference games.
Louisville is confident, though.
Cardinals' star wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick had some bold statements at the team's media day over the weekend.
"Every receiver in our receiver core can honestly beat every one of their DB's in 1 on 1 coverage," he said.
"When we watch film and other players play Bama, it's not like Bama's beating them. It's like they're beating themselves because of the mystique of playing the Crimson Tide."
Talking that boldly about a game against Alabama, usually, is not the best idea.
Kirk Herbstreit seems to agree.
Alabama and Louisville are set to kick off at 8 p.m. E.T. on Sept. 1.
