This college football season features many superstars, but Dwayne Haskins continues to reign above much of the competition. While fans can’t wait for him to join the NFL, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit chimed in on the Ohio State quarterback’s future.
It’s hard to ignore Haskins’ statistics through six games, which includes 1,919 passing yards and 25 touchdowns. Outside of four interceptions, he’s been simply amazing for the Buckeyes.
Haskins will eventually take his talents to the next level, but Herbstreit hopes the sophomore quarterback waits one more season. In an interesting tweet, the college football analyst revealed which skills the Heisman candidate can still improve.
Hope not. He’s having an unbelievable year and will continue to put up ridiculous numbers, but think he could benefit from another year of seasoning. Reading coverages, dealing with pressure, and making consistent decision when under duress. Reps are big for him. https://t.co/2cFRO3zpjX

Herbstreit made an excellent point about Haskins reading coverages and making correct decisions under pressure.
Perhaps, staying at Ohio State would be the right choice for Haskins. Nonetheless, it’d be extremely difficult for him to ignore an opportunity at being a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Although Herbstreit wants him to stay in school for another season, he did also acknowledge Haskins’ success right now.
If Ohio State continues getting excellent production from Haskins, the likelihood of him entering the draft will be high. In fact, maybe the talented gunslinger will change Herbstreit’s mind along the way.
