ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit had a message for Nebraska fans following Saturday night's blowout loss to Ohio State.

The gist of it: Be patient.

Nebraska was shellacked at home by Ohio State, 48-7, on national TV in primetime. It was ugly. Understandably, fans were not happy.

This is just Year 2 for Scott Frost, though, and he clearly needs more time to build the Huskers back up. Herbstreit knows what will happen if he gets it.

"You’ve got a GREAT coach who needs time to build his culture. With the coach, fan support, new facilities, not IF but WHEN Scott brings them back. I’m with you. Fans need to let him build this thing back-just takes time to do it the right way!" he tweeted.

Nebraska fell to 3-2 on the season with Saturday night's loss. The Huskers will look to get back on track next Saturday at home against Northwestern. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. E.T. on FOX.
