Continuing his weekly tradition, Kirk Herbstreit cited the five players and five teams that impressed him most over the weekend.

Last week featured a number of thrilling games and outstanding performances. ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit listed on Twitter today which players and teams stood out to him from Week 6’s slate of games.

Atop the surprising performances was an unranked non-Power-5 victory over the No. 6 team in the country. Of course that one made the list. But there are some surprising performances that flew under-the-radar this past weekend. Herbstreit paid honor to those teams.

Herbie also gave his top-5 player performances from the weekend.

  1. Alvin Kamara (18 carries, 127 yards, 2 TD's), Tennessee
  2. Samaje Perrine (35 carries, 214 yards, 2 TD's) and Dede Westbrook (10 receptions, 232 yards, 3 TD's), Oklahoma
  3. Jake Browning (22-of-28 passing, 304 yards, 6 TD's), Washington
  4. Michigan's Offensive Line (481 yards rushing, 0 sacks allowed)
  5. Ryan Nall (14 carries, 221 yards, 3 TD's), Oregon State
