Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray may be facing a bit of discipline as his team heads into its contest against Big 12 rival Baylor on Saturday afternoon. There are rumors swirling that he could miss some time on the field.

How much time could he miss? That seems to be undetermined. ESPN College GameDay analyst Rece Davis said the network is "following" reports that Murray may not start the contest for the Sooners. It doesn't seem like he's going to miss a ton of time - but not starting would probably send a message.

According to a number of reports, Murray might not start against Baylor because he may have been late to either a practice or a team meeting. Here's what Davis had to say:

"We are following reports that Kyler Murray might not start as punishment for being late."

OUInsider's Brandon Drumm is reporting that the situation is "no big deal" - but he didn't rule out the possibility of Murray missing a little time on the field.

"It's basically (Lincoln) Riley and the OU staff making sure Murray understands that he abides by the same rules as the rest of the team, despite being a millionaire," Drumm wrote late Friday. "It's not something that has been a repeated issue, so OU was merely nipping it in the bud before it potentially got out of hand. Punishment looks like it will be handled and OU will still have Murray tomorrow. End of story."

Oklahoma fans probably don't need to worry much here. The Sooners and Bears will meet at 3:30 PM ET on Saturday.
