We're still several months away from the 2020 college football season, but we have exciting news involving the LA Bowl. That's right, there is a new bowl game that will be taking place this December.

On Wednesday morning, the LA Bowl was officially announced as the latest bowl game to join the rotation. This matchup will feature the Mountain West’s No. 1 selection and the Pac-12’s No. 5 selection.

Basically, the LA Bowl is a revamped version of the Las Vegas Bowl matchup. However, the location for this game should actually benefit the Mountain West more since there will be additional exposure.

This game will be played at SoFi Stadium, which will be the new home of the Chargers and Rams very soon. It should be a really solid venue for the LA Bowl and those in attendance. A logo was already revealed for this bowl game.

Jason Gannon, the managing director of SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, released a statement on the newest bowl game. "Similar to SoFi Stadium, the LA Bowl game is designed to deliver an authentic Southern California experience,” Gannon said. “In addition, our bowl game events throughout the week will embrace Los Angeles as the entertainment capital of the world.” According to college football insider
