The recruiting has already begun for Lane Kiffin at FAU.
Lane Kiffin, who is now the head coach of Florida Atlantic University's football program, is reportedly eyeing a former Alabama five-star quarterback to join him.
According to AL.com, Kiffin wants former five-star QB Blake Barnett to join him in Florida.
A coach expected to be part of Kiffin's FAU staff reached out to Barnett last week and told him that they want Barnett to be their quarterback at FAU, a source told AL.com. Barnett, though, said he is sticking with his commitment to Arizona State, according to the source.
In addition to being Barnett's offensive coordinator with the Tide, Kiffin helped recruit Barnett to Alabama.
Barnett, who began the 2016 season as Alabama's starting quarterback before getting supplanted by Jalen Hurts, which led to his transfer, committed to Arizona State last week. He reportedly plans on sticking with that commitment, per AL.com.
