Lane Kiffin: This New Head Coach Will Make Playoff Run In 2 Years

The 2018 college football season is still a few months away.

But that won't stop us from looking ahead.

It's been nearly two months since Alabama took down Georgia in the national title game, and we've had plenty of turnaround throughout the game since then.

Several programs added a new head coach, one of which Lane Kiffin believes will lead his team to a College Football Playoff run within two years.

Kiffin thinks his former colleague at Alabama, Jeremy Pruitt, can lead Tennessee to the promised land. Here's what Kiffin had to say via Nashville radio station ESPN 102.5’s Morning Drive.

"Jeremy’s going to do a great job there. I would not be shocked if it’s not going to be just like Georgia. Looking at Tennessee back in the Top 10 within two years and making a Playoff run."

Can Pruitt turn the Volunteers into a contender a la Kirby Smart at Georgia?

Pruitt didn't have long to turn Tennessee's 2018 recruiting class into a winner, but he'll have plenty of time to institute his recruiting process during the 2019 cycle.

Will the Volunteers compete for an SEC title in two years?
