Lane Kiffin To Become Florida Atlantic's Next Head Coach

Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is reportedly leaving the Crimson Tide to become the next head coach at Florida Atlantic.

Lane Kiffin has landed his next head coaching gig. Kiffin, who has been Alabama's offensive coordinator the past three seasons, will head to Boca Raton, Florida, to become the head coach at Florida Atlantic. ESPN was the first to report the news.

Kiffin will take over for Charlie Partridge, who was fired after a 3-9 campaign. Partridge had been with the program since 2014. This will be Kiffin's third head coaching job in the college ranks. He was hired as Tennessee's head coach back in 2009. He then left for USC, where he led the Trojans from 2010 until 2013. He also coached the NFL's Oakland Raiders from 2007-2008. According to Bruce Feldman, Kiffin will be getting a five-year deal.

It remains to be seen whether Kiffin will stay on at Alabama through the College Football Playoff. The Crimson Tide has a date with Washington in the Peach Bowl on New Year's Eve.
