The Alabama quarterback situation got a little more interesting today. The Crimson Tide received a commitment from a graduate transfer QB.
Alabama's 2018 quarterback situation, though, will almost surely come down to two players - Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts. Gardner Minshew, the graduate transfer QB, is just added depth in case something happens.
And that's a real question. Is something going to happen?
It has to at some point, right? Both Tagovailoa and Hurts aren't going to be content with being the other's backup.
This is probably going to take a while to play out, though. It could go through the preseason and into the fall.
That's what former Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin expects, anyway. The FAU head coach spoke to CBS Sports about the situation.
Kiffin expects Saban to let it play out for a while.
"My guess is coach is going to take awhile with this," he told CBS Sports.
