A former college football player, and star of the Netflix series Last Chance U has been released from prison. According to a report from TMZ, Isaiah Wright has been released from prison as part of a plea deal.

Police arrested Wright in September 2017 after the stabbing death of an 18-year-old man. Wright has been in prison on one count of criminal homicide since he was arrested.

TMZ is reporting that Wright entered a plea agreement and has already been released from prison.

Here are the details of the plea deal.

Wright pled guilty to 1 count of facilitation of aggravated robbery (which we're told means he "furnished assistance without the intent to commit robbery") -- and in exchange the murder charge was dropped ... according to his attorney, Kevin Angel.

Wright will serve five years probation following his release.

The running back grew to fame during his time on the Netflix series where he starred for the East Mississippi Community College football team.

EMCC has seen several star football players enter and exit through its doors. Former Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly and star NFL running back LaGarrette Blount spent time at EMCC.

It's unclear if Wright will continue with his football career.
