The ESPN college football host has spent a lot of time close to the Alabama program.
Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts might be spending 2018 battling for Alabama’s starting quarterback position, but they want you to think it’s not going to be contentious.
The true freshman tweeted out a special message for the sophomore earlier today.
There was a kind response from the elder QB, too.
Tired of people not appreciating the fact that if this man led us to the National Championship. And for all the fans that are against Jalen, you against me too. You either WITH US or AGAINST US. Love you 2 🐐#BigBroLittleBro @JalenHurts pic.twitter.com/ExjHAB7yHh

What’s their relationship actually like, though?
ESPN college football host Laura Rutledge has spent a lot of time close to Alabama’s program and she says it’s “genuine.”
These two young men are some of my favorites and just in case you were wondering, this couldn’t be more genuine. Very special friendship. https://t.co/I5zOvlFnbq

If that’s really the case, it won’t be that surprising if Hurts opts to stay at Alabama and either compete with Tagovailoa for the starting job, or move into a different role.
