Lawrence Keys III, a four-star player and the No. 37 wide receiver in the class of 2018, has some big time offers. Today, he named his top 13 schools.
Keys, a New Orleans native, has Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado State, Houston, LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas Tech, and UTSA listed as his top schools.
It is a pretty interesting list, with some of the SEC's biggest powers mixed in with national recruiters like Michigan and Notre Dame, and some small schools like Colorado State and UTSA in the mix as well. However, as we said, he is a New Orleans guy, and LSU like to lose out on elite talents in its back yard. New head coach Ed Orgeron seems to be doubling down on that focus, and the early projections back that up. All four voters in 247's crystal ball have LSU as the pick for Keys, though obviously that is a small sample size and there's a ton of time left.
Keys is the No. 189 player in the class, and the sixth-ranked recruit from the state of Louisiana, per 247's composite rankings.
