LeBron James didn't go to college, but he's always maintained that if he'd had to, he would have gone to Ohio State. James, as a result, has become a big Buckeyes fan for both football and basketball.

Saturday, James took to Twitter express the fact that he's impressed with what he's seeing from the Buckeyes in their week one matchup against FAU.

James, responding to former NBA player Kendrick Perkins, made it clear he's pumped about the fact that Ohio State put up 28 quick points on FAU. The Buckeyes scored four touchdowns in just about eight minutes during Justin Fields' debut.

Ohio State is debuting both a new coach in Ryan Day and a new quarterback in Fields today. Most fans have liked what they've seen so far.

James has been an ambassador for Ohio State's program the past few years. He was famously on the sidelines for the Buckeyes' big national title win over Oregon back in 2014.

Ohio State leads FAU 28-0 near the end of the first quarter.
