The 2018 college football season kicks off today. Although none of the four games feature a team within the Power 5, there is plenty to be excited about - mainly that college football is back!
To welcome the season, the College GameDay crew made their picks for each conference, the College Football Playoff foursome, and the eventual champion. Desmond Howard and Kirk Herbstreit made relatively conventional picks, but Lee Corso took a different path.
Corso likes Wisconsin to come out of the Big Ten, Clemson out of the ACC, Washington out of the Pac-12 and Georgia out of the SEC.
He has Clemson and Wisconsin advancing to the title game, with the Badgers ending up on top.
Wisconsin owns one of the easiest schedules on college football, but does have crossover games at Michigan and Penn State.
The Badgers currently sit at No. 4 in the AP Poll thanks to a dominate offensive line, running back, and defensive line. However, it will be quarterback play that determines the team's success this season.
