Here's what the ESPN college football analyst told the up-and-coming star.
There might not be a more adorable pair of TV sports analysts than Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit. They're two of the best at what they do and the father/son (or grandfather/grandson) feel to their relationship is endearing to watch.
The Associated Press wrote a great feature on Corso as he enters his 30th season on ESPN's College GameDay.
In the story, Corso, 82, reveals the advice he gave Herbstreit, 48, some 20 years ago.
From the AP:
Eventually that relationship grew from quarterback-coach to more father-son over 21 years. Herbstreit said he would turn to Corso for advice on marriage and raising kids. As for making it in TV, Corso said Herbstreit needed only a little guidance.
"I kept harping on him, first thing: You're so good looking. Make sure you're not off camera," Corso said.
