Corso named the best player ever.
Lee Corso has been around college football for over 60 years. He became a mainstay on our TV’s when College GameDay first debuted in 1987.
In all his time covering the sport, one player stands out as the best he’s ever seen.
Corso was in Louisville for the Cardinals matchup against Clemson this weekend when he was asked about Lamar Jackson.
The college football expert revealed Roger Staubach is the greatest football player he’s ever seen, but Lamar Jackson is getting close.

That’s just about the highest praise a football player can ever receive. Lamar Jackson has started the 2017 season much the way he played most of the 2016 season in which he won the Heisman Trophy.
Jackson, by himself, has averaged over 500 yards of offense through two games. It’ll be interesting to see how Clemson’s defense will try to contain the elusive playmaker.
Clemson and Louisville kick off at 8:00 p.m. ET from Papa John’s Memorial Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
