Lee Corso is known for making bold takes that aren't always thought of by the casual fans, but his latest comments about USC head coach Clay Helton aren't anything new to the rest of the country.

Helton started his tenure with the Trojans as strong as possible, winning 21 games through two seasons. However, it has gone south for USC in 2018, and they're in danger of not even being bowl eligible.

Unless USC upsets Notre Dame tonight, the Trojans will own an abysmal 5-7 record.

Corso believes Helton will not return next season because he isn't the right fit for Southern California.

While Corso wasn't fond of USC's head coach staying with the program, Kirk Herbstreit made an argument for Helton getting another year to prove himself.

Notre Dame and USC will kick off at 8:00 p.m. ET from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Do you think Helton deserves to keep his job?
