LSU running back Leonard Fournette is out for the game against Southern Miss.
LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said he does not expect Leonard Fournette to play in the Tigers' game against Southern Mississippi this weekend. Fournette suffered an ankle injury in the preseason, and re-injured that ankle in a game against Auburn on September 24.
"I don't think he's gonna play. He hasn't practiced and I would not expect him to be ready this Saturday."
Fournette has not practiced for two weeks, which does not look good for LSU going forward. However, when asked if he expects the star running back to play again this season, Orgeron said the following:
"It looks like it."
Fournette has missed two of his team's games this season - against Jacksonville State and Missouri.
A preseason Heisman Trophy frontrunner, Fournette has rushed 67 times for 386 yards and two touchdowns this season.
