Former Miami standout Leonard Myers has reportedly lost his battle with cancer.
Leonard Myers, who played for Miami from 1997-2000 and was part of the New England Patriots’ first Super Bowl run back in 2001, has reportedly passed away from cancer. The news was first reported by the Miami Herald and later confirmed by the school itself. Myers was 38 years old.
The family lost another one way too soon.

Myers, who played cornerback, helped the Hurricanes win the Orange Bowl in 1999.
Myers, during his professional career, played for the Patriots, Saints, Jets, Lions and the Ottawa Renegades of the CFL. He later got into coaching after his playing career ended.
