">Dan Wolken of USA Today, former LSU head coach Les Miles could be in line to be the next head coach at Purdue.

LSU fired Les Miles after a 2-2 start on the season. Since then, many teams have been thrown into the discussion as to who would land the national championship coach.

For those who question why Miles would be interested in the Purdue job, Wolken had a follow-up tweet.

Purdue is 3-2 on the season, but is currently losing to Iowa 28-0 at the half. Current head coach of the Boilermakers Darrell Hazzell took over the program in 2011. Since that time Purdue has won just nine games out of 41 opportunities.

The addition of Les Miles to the Big Ten would make for a very interesting storyline. The former SEC coach would join big names such as Urban Meyer, Jim Harbaugh, and Mark Dantonio.
