Louisiana RB Darius Hoggins Suffers Broken Jaw After Falling While Reading Cell Phone

This is certainly an atypical injury.

Earlier tonight, University of Louisiana at Lafayette football coach Mark Hudspeth announced that his leading returning rusher, running back Darius Hoggins, would miss several weeks with a broken jaw.

Hudspeth said that Hoggins has suffered the injury in a "non-football-related accident."

According to Hudspeth, Hoggins broke his jaw when he fell while reading his cell phone. Seriously.

There you go. Assuming Louisiana isn't lying about what happened, this is one of the freakier injuries you'll find.

Those damn millenials and their cell phones.
