LSU AD Joe Alleva Says Game Vs. BYU "Almost Certainly" Won't Be Held In Houston

Houston is dealing with the effects of Hurricane Harvey.

LSU and BYU are supposed to play in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff in Houston this Saturday.

However, Hurricane Harvey is wreaking havoc in Texas, and the damage and flooding in Houston is severe. It seems almost certain that the game will be moved.

LSU athletic director Joe Alleva confirmed in a statement tonight that the game will "almost certainly" be played elsewhere.

As Alleva notes in his statement, NRG is in charge of the event, and will therefore have the final say on moving it. Here is the latest from the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff Twitter account.

Presuming the game gets moved, LSU's Tiger Stadium or New Orleans' Superdome are potential relocation sites. According to SBNation, both teams are intent on playing somewhere on Saturday, as BYU can't play on Sundays due to religious reasons.
