After a tough, controversial loss to Texas A&M this past Saturday night, LSU finished the 2018 season with a 9-3 record. So where are the Tigers headed for their bowl game?

That might depend on how the SEC title game between Alabama and Georgia plays out this Saturday. If the Bulldogs win and both teams are somehow part of the College Football Playoff, LSU will move up the pecking order for SEC bowl teams.

If Alabama wins, Georgia likely winds up in the Sugar Bowl. LSU and Florida are the next two best options.

ESPN's two analysts differ on where they think LSU will wind up. Kyle Bonagura sees the Tigers playing Penn State in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

Mitch Sherman sees LSU winding up in a New Year's Six game. He thinks the Tigers will take on Michigan in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona.

While both are high-quality games, obviously, the Fiesta Bowl carries more weight.

LSU had a solid season, but losses against Florida, Alabama and Texas A&M kept them from being part of the national title conversation.

We'll know LSU's bowl situation on Sunday.
