LSU Is Moving JaCoby Stevens To Wide Receiver

The former top recruit was the No. 1 safety in his class.

JaCoby Stevens was one of the top defensive recruits in the country. The 6-foot-2, 214-pound five-star was ranked the No. 1 safety in the 2017 class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

The elite Tennessee prospect won't be playing defense for LSU this season, though. The Tigers have moved him to the other side of the ball.

Ed Orgeron announced on Monday night that Stevens has switched to wide receiver.

Moving the No. 1 safety in the country to the other side of the ball seems a little questionable, but LSU's offense needs as many playmakers as it can get.

Will the Tigers be able to get him the ball, though?

LSU opens its season on Sept. 2 against BYU.
