Four-star defensive end Malcolm Lamar out of Armwood High School in Florida has five huge schools out in front.
247Sports ranks Lamar No. 174 in the nation for the class of 2018.
The site also has him ranked No. 7 among strongside defensive ends and No. 35 in talent-rich Florida.
Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Oregon, and Tennessee have made the cut for the elite lineman.
He announced the top five via Twitter:
There's one more school outside the top five that is still in the running however: Florida.
Lamar spoke to Scout about his top five, and says that Florida will be getting one of his five official visits, while he is still deciding whether to visit LSU or Ole Miss.
"That's the only one I have scheduled, but I'm still going to take an official visit to Florida," Lamar said. "So, I got Oregon, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, and I don't know about the last one.
"Probably Ole Miss or LSU; I have to choose between those schools. I still want to take my Florida visit."
Earlier in the article, he mentioned that those two schools haven't recruited him as hard as others, so the Gators may be in a better position than the Tigers or Rebels.
If you take a lot of stock in 247's crystal ball, the Gators look even better. 89-percent of the predictions for Lamar have him landing with the Gators, with Tennessee taking the last prediction.
Those numbers may well shift after today's announcement, however.
Lamar also holds offers from Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and many others.
