Texas Linebacker Malik Jefferson Injured, Will Not Return
Texas sophomore linebacker Malik Jefferson was injured on Saturday afternoon against West Virginia.
The Texas Longhorns currently trail West Virginia 17-3 early in the second quarter, and it looks like they're going to have to mount a comeback without one of their best players. Sophomore linebacker Malik Jefferson has been ruled out for the rest of the game after suffering a head injury early on in the contest. Texas made the announcement moments ago.
Jefferson was taken to the locker room after sustaining the injury.
Jefferson, a 6-foor-3, 240-pound player from Mesquite, Texas, has 54 tackles and 4.5 sacks on the season. It's a huge loss for the Longhorns as they look to pull off the upset.
