Four-star defensive end Marcus Hicks has a dozen big schools standing out. He has 20 reported offers overall.
Hicks stars for Northwest High School in Wichita, Kansas. He is the top-ranked Kansan in the class of 2019.
247Sports‘ composite rankings have him at No. 255 overall in the class. He’s the 16th-ranked weakside defensive end in the class.
One of the two major programs in Hicks’ home state crashed the top 12 he put out this evening. Kansas State has been the better of the two Sunflower State Big 12 programs for a while, and made the list.
In the Big 12, the Wildcats are joined by three other top programs. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas are also in his top schools list.
The ACC, Big Ten, Pac-12, and SEC are also all represented. Florida, Michigan, NC State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, and Washington round out the group.
Marcus Hicks unveiled the top 12 via Twitter.
I thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to get a degree and play football at the next level. In no specific order, these are my top schools at this time. Thank you to all the coaches who believe in me. I am truly grateful. Marcus Hicks pic.twitter.com/vKBqNI7bwA

Right now, one program stands out as the favorite, at least to the five recruiting experts that have logged predictions at 247’s crystal ball so far. All have Hicks becoming an Oklahoma Sooner.
Oklahoma currently has five players committed in the class of 2019. Four of the five are four-star players.
Of the five, the Sooners already have one player at Hicks’s position. Three-star defensive end Kori Roberson committed to the Sooners back on February 18.
Oklahoma’s class is ranked eighth in the country and first in the Big 12, via 247. Quarterback Spencer Rattler is the top-ranked Sooners commit.
