Maryland's football program is currently in the middle of a major scandal following ESPN's bombshell report and the death of former Terrapins' lineman Jordan McNair.

The Terps announced last week that head coach D.J. Durkin was being placed on administrative leave. His future with the program is unclear.

It looks like we're going to learn more about the situation this afternoon.

Maryland announced today that it is holding a 2 p.m. E.T. press conference with president Wallace Loh and athletic director Damon Evans.

Durkin, 40, has been Maryland's head coach since 2016. He joined the Terrapins' program after spending one season at Michigan. Durkin is 10-15 as Maryland's head coach. Associated Press writer Ralph D. Russo is hearing that today's press conference, though, will be regarding the death of Jordan McNair and not any coaching moves. "Been hearing this will not be about coaching moves but about McNair death investigation. We'll see," he tweeted.

Stay tuned.
