The Huskers' top target seems to have enjoyed his time in Lincoln, Neb.

Nebraska's No. 1 recruiting target took an official visit to Lincoln this weekend. It appears to have gone well.

Maurice Washington, a four-star running back out of Texas, is the top target on Scott Frost's board. He was hosted on campus this weekend.

The elite recruit is reportedly down to Nebraska and Arizona State. He'll be making his decision this week.

This visit was Nebraska's last chance to make an impression. The Huskers appear to have done a good job.

Washington, the MVP of the Under Armour All-American Game, tweeted multiple times while he was on campus. He seemed to be enjoying himself.

"How I look now" he wrote while tweeting a video of himself in the locker room. He later tweeted pictures of himself in a Huskers uniform.

"I can feel it in the air" he wrote. Check it out:

Washington, one of the top uncommitted recruits in the 2018 class, would be a huge addition to Scott Frost's inaugural class. Current predictions have him landing with the Huskers.

Former NFL star Deion Sanders, who helped coach Washington in high school, spoke to omaha.com about where things stand and what the Huskers could be getting.

“He’s everything — he’s everything you want,” Sanders said amid the noise of 2,000 news media members. “Offensively, he’d be up for the Heisman in a couple years. Defensively, he could go pro at corner or safety. You got to think about that. That’s the decision he would have to make and the coaches would.

Sanders said he “loves” the Nebraska coaching staff, including head coach Scott Frost.

“I love what they’re trying to accomplish at Nebraska and I love the influx of Florida kids they’re bringing to Nebraska,” Sanders said. Love the head coach. It’s going to be interesting.”

National Signing Day is this Wednesday. Stay tuned...
